Amazing for the price; some assembly tips.

Great value for money. However, the granite countertop only sits on two very loose pin inserts. So I used white glue (Elmer's) in the dowel holes; Wood glue or gorilla glue will also work. I also used PVA glue on a few pins in the vertical pieces. I also used silicone bath and tile sealer to attach the granite countertop to the base. I read online that you don't want to use liquid nails or other adhesives with certain types of oil as these can sometimes leach onto the granite's surface and stain it. Additionally, there are a total of 12 Β½ inch screw holes on the outside of the vertical pieces (legs). They are designed so that you can insert screws to hold the island together. For me, these holes rendered the device unfinished. So I went to a big hardware store and bought some half inch wooden button caps which I carefully inserted into the 12 side screw holes to give it a finished look. See attached photo. I think the manufacturer should have put some keycaps in the box, but that doesn't matter.

Pros
  • Work island with natural finish and elegant granite top.
Cons
  • Empty
