I'm by no means as fit as the mannequin this shirt is on, but I'm not of massive build (5ft 8in). , 165 pounds), and yet I was somewhat reassured by the small size. This is probably normal for most people as I usually wear my clothes (especially these things) on the smaller side. It is very comfortable and pleasant to walk in. It hasn't warmed up enough to appreciate how well it absorbs moisture, but I suspect it will perform admirably.
