The small can opener could work better if the tab was wider. Opening the jar with a small pull tab resulted in the plastic edges of the lid breaking. The ice cream lids are stiffer and too big causing them to pop out in the fridge so I stopped using them. ALAZCO lids can still be used. The secret is to place the lid flat on the jar with your finger on the top edge of the lid, being careful not to snag or pinch the side edge. ALAZCO lids are flexible but will stick if flattened too quickly. My husband has a harder time using them and his eyelids crack and tear. A lid split at the fillet weld between the top and side of the lid. You have to go slow and deliberate to make these jobs work. I'm even considering buying lids again as they seem to do the job better and last longer than other solutions.
