Firstly, please be very careful when opening and operating the controller. There are many good tutorials on YouTube on carefully replacing parts and modding. Second generation controllers are simpler. First generation controllers have smaller parts that need careful consideration and proper placement. To get to the sticks without damaging them, you need to know what you're doing. If you've worked with electronics before, then you shouldn't have any problems. Just grab the schematic before you open it. As for the sticks themselves, my old ones were hanging off the bones so I had to replace them. I bought it. I love her. They were incredibly cheap. Seems to be holding up well. Also, I now have a whole bag of them. Too bad they didn't make crayons for PS4 gold controllers. The controller's gold sticks are off-white. Rather, they are very dark grey, almost black. When it comes time to change them I think I might as well use them but the color just doesn't match.
