If you look at my photos you will see that this resembles a paper lantern in design. There is a cage support and a cloth cover. I pulled the cage out of the photo case. The build is simple - you put it up and press on it - the wires will bend outwards. There is a pole that hooks into the base to hold it in place. You may need to poke some of the wires as they tend to bunch together in twos or threes close together - this takes a few seconds. 30 seconds max and you're done. Use the Bowens mount to snap the light in place and start filming. The light emitted is uniform, uniform and diffuse. It's pretty heavy at the front, of course, but no more than a large softbox. The only downside is that it's big when not in use. Probably waist high and 8 inches wide. The light it emits is much more diffuse than directional softboxes as the light basically spreads almost 360 degrees. The included stand is pretty decent. Something you would pay around $45 for. , It is bouncy and durable There is also a bag for storing / transporting the diffuser.
