This lamp stand is of high quality. Acrylic doesn't bend at all and the whole block is very stiff. The black piano lacquer on the edges looks great on our bar. The lighting is even and illuminates bottles well, even dark liquor bottles. I usually use it at night with lower brightness settings and it creates a great atmosphere in the room. I'd recommend playing around with the remote a bit to find the lighting settings you want - there's a slow fade setting that cycles through all the colors and you can change the cycle speed to very low so it fades out very slowly - very cool.
