So let Mama tell you how she got into the market for one of these. It was 3 p.m. on the 45th day of quarantine. It was hot. It was damp. If I had to attend another Zoom meeting that could be entirely electronic, I would lose my marbles. Solution? A nice chilled glass of Chardonnay until it landed on my MacBook. Back then it was less of a "solution” and more of a "problem”. Anyway, $1600 later I have a new MacBook and I'm desperate for a way to prevent history from repeating itself. Enter: this keyboard cover. It fits my keys like a glove and I can hardly tell it's there. It changes the tactile feel of typing on the Magic Keyboard, but in an almost pleasant way. The key lettering is solid white and opaque, so the backlight doesn't show through. I like that there is no silly logo on the spacebar. Death to branding, baby! Conclusion: buy. It's not a fully waterproof solution, since the speakers border the keyboard on this model, but it'll definitely make a difference the next time your $3 cartridge jar succumbs to gravity.
