Item arrived damaged

My mum ordered one and it looked more comfortable for my baby than the ones I had so I bought my own. I adjusted the straps after taking them out of the box and noticed that the elastic that holds the padding in place was almost torn in half. Looks good quality and I am really excited that my child will try it but I was disappointed with how it came out. Since I bought it brand new I didn't expect it to show signs of wear :/ I can't send everything back and wait for a replacement as my son has to ride in the car with me and I need a car seat for daily activities.
