This adapter is a sturdy piece of metal and attaches nicely to my 100 x 100 VESA dual monitor stand. However, the way it attaches to the monitor isn't great. It's partly HP's fault for making such horrible desktop monitor stands that are flimsy, poorly supported, and lack VESA mounting holes. The HP only has a narrow plastic plug that covers two metal pins that come out of the case for assembly. It can break if you put heavy stress on it over time or keep tipping it back and forth. But this label doesn't help much either. There is a gap of approximately 3 inches between the top 2/3 of the mount and the monitor. So only 1/3 of this adapter rests on the back of the monitor. And it has two screws that go through the adapter and scratch the back of the monitor. Chassis (See photos for how it fits.) They included 3 washers per bolt for use as spacers. Needs 5 or 6 per bolt, or a nut could be added, or the bolts are slightly shorter. The only part that now fits the monitor and can give it some support are the screws that keep it off the monitor and scratch it. But much of this monitor's odd shape is HP's fault. They presented a really bad way of mounting the stands and I think it's difficult for adapter manufacturers to make an adapter that fits all kinds of designs for HP. Why can't HP just follow the long established VESA standards and make 4 holes at 100 X? 100 or 75 X distance 75? There's probably no metal frame inside to attach them to. This mount doesn't really make any contact with the monitor, so all the weight is on that little plastic bar. But Vivo's way of implementing this is still better than what you'll see with the capital G. That's why I removed a star because while it works, it's not the optimal method to securely mount a large monitor. I bought 2 of these used with Vertical Stack and now have 2 HP 27f monitors. Update 10/16/19: Tried a different brand here at Revain (with a capital G on the adapter plate). These Vivos were actually much better than these because, among other things, this brand used cheap 3D printed attachments. So I think these Vivos perform better than the competition, but they're still not as robust as I'd like.
