This docking station is well packaged. Out of the box, it looks like a solid construction that doesn't creak when handled. It includes a power cord, a USB-A to USB-C cable, and a USB-C to USB-C cable. The goal I intended for this dock was to make it easy to insert hard drives for testing with different boot utilities like Parted Magic, Ultimate Boot CD, Western Digital Data Lifeguard. I wanted to avoid opening up the computer and constantly plugging and unplugging SATA cables and power cords. My rating refers exclusively to this environment. I don't need this dock on Windows or MAC. Needless to say, all of my utilities failed to recognize the drive inserted into the docking station. Western Digital Data Lifeguard simply said the drive was not WD. I think I have to look elsewhere. Returned.
