I was thrilled when I read the reviews that said the material is thicker than usual in the middle. But that's because the entire bed surround is made of the same type of fabric as the low-thread top sheet. I think people have drastically lowered their standards - the material of a bed skirt is supposed to be stiffer and thicker than a regular bed sheet. Why would it even have a softness feature? You don't want a soft bed skirt - it doesn't touch your skin. This one is thin and thin. It doesn't keep a straight shape and you can see through the bed frame and spring block. Very disappointing.
