None of the rear passengers complained about the lack of legroom. However. My purse barely fits in. The "basket" part is too thin. My handbag is a regular tote bag. Its width is about 10 inches and 5 inches at the bottom. My 7 inch wallet fits the space better. It's already snapped at the straps that connect it to the seat. Which eventually makes it useless. My bag is not that heavy. To tear it apart
