Having spent most of my money on the phone itself, I was hesitant to spend more on this charger. Some earlier versions of the phone (the S6 in particular) had serious issues with the charging port, the phone disconnecting and not charging, etc. A friend of mine who owns a phone shop suggested that it might be a good idea to just shut the port use for car charging and data transfer. Access, but use wireless charging primarily to avoid port connection issues. After using it for a week, I bought a second one for another room in my house. It's pretty cute, you can hold it horizontally or stand it up vertically, it charges the phone very quickly and works great through the case (some reviews say otherwise but I have a slim Caseology case that works with no issues. Otter maybe , UAG or Spigen armor would be another story). To be honest, it seems a bit extravagant when I can use the included phone charger and Samsung's $20 wall charger to keep my phone charged, but not having to plug it in and just lay it on my pillow, it really is worth. $i. Maybe I'm lazy, but it's one of those things you don't know about that is very handy and you need it until you have it. It's good to just pick up the phone in the morning and get going without having to fiddle with a plug. Also, it works with my gfs S6 so that's a bonus too. Just make sure you put your phone in the middle so it charges properly, but if it doesn't it beeps so you can't leave it there thinking it's charging and come back later, to find a phone with a dead battery. It has a small built in fan and it sits next to my bed and I can't hear it running when the phone is fully charged, it's very quiet. If for any reason you want to plug it in, just unplug it from the charger and you can plug your phone straight in, so it's really a 2-in-1. It should be ideal for travel, it folds into a very compact unit that easily fits in a small external pocket in carry-on luggage. Very high quality, we'll see the reliability over time, but other Samsung products and devices are known for their reliability, so I'm not worried about replacing them after a year. To be honest if it breaks I just use the cable and plug my phone in when needed, at least I can still charge my phone. It's a cool item that I would consider if you use the battery heavily. The fast charge feature puts it ahead of Apple and other phones for me.
