So I've used my new balaclavas 4 times. As far as I can tell I received a grey/blue 2 pack. They are good for hiking in 20-40 degree weather with light wind. I wear one when I go for a night walk. Definitely prevents your skin from freezing and sagging. Not so good in strong winds, although to be honest I don't think it advertises wind protection. And on top of that I wore a knitted hat, that has to be. I wear a size 7 beanie, it was tight enough to be comfortable but not tight enough to cover my eyes. This is a problem for me because I wear glasses and they fog up all the time. I eventually resigned myself to wearing it with my nose open, the only way I could see, and even then I had to control my breathing. Where you exhale helps, but not enough if you wear glasses. And after 20 minutes of walking, moisture can accumulate. I just hang it up to dry and it's fine the next day as long as it doesn't smell. Haven't washed them, will edit them after I can test them.
