The reviews find fault that water runs slowly through this filter, most likely A) not having to soak the filter for several minutes to ensure saturation and B ) requires tapping Krug on the counter at an angle to release half of the water contained in the upper reservoir to release ALL the air bubbles. These air pockets seriously impede water flow. My attached video shows how quickly 2 cups of water will go through the filter when prepared properly. This is a filter I just installed and flushed 10 cups just before I took the video.
