Review on πŸ“¦ Iris USA, Inc. UB All Space Saving Unit: Adjustable Shelf & White Coating for Optimal Organization - 6 Inch by Adam Jauregui

stable and efficient, but unattractive

I'm actually very surprised at how sturdy they are - I was afraid they are so thin they wouldn't be able to stand on their own. These are really cool shelves that allow me to get as much storage space as possible in my study. I just plug a 7" in where I have an 8" gap. Read the dimensions of the shelf you are considering purchasing, for example 7" refers to approximately 7" (actually 6 7/8") shelf width inside the unit - will be an inch more on the outside. loads of room to just stick on one or two of these - the 7" version holds 7 of my sketchbooks, which is more than I expected. The two shelf version isn't very tall (22 inches inside) and I ended up not even using the middle shelf to hold things like canvases and watercolor boards. They are stable and do not wobble even without an intermediate floor. have holes on the sides and in one of the lower/upper parts and are equipped with fasteners that allow you to attach rows of shelves side by side and stack shelves in pairs. Rack units will require you to drill holes as only one of the top/bottom holes is pre-drilled for you so keep this in mind when planning. It's terrible that the shelves and back panels are white and the sides are dark walnut. I mean really, phew. As they're for my study I can handle them, but I don't see an opportunity to use them elsewhere in the house, although there are places I'd like a shelf this thin.

Pros
  • STACK & ORGANIZE: Narrow shelves are great for narrow or small spaces that won't fit in standard furniture. Need more height? Fold and screw 2 units vertically to maximize vertical storage space.
Cons
  • Sad equipment
