Review on VIVO Ultrawide Articulating Pneumatic STAND V100H by Justin Boisvert

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Sturdy construction - perfect for heavy monitors.

Solid construction but poor quality control. The clamp mounting screws are made of inferior metal, the hex easily deforms and keeps slipping when trying to tighten it. Worst of all, they came with two completely different clamp screws, one of which was too big for the Allen key that came with it? — Updated on 01/01/2020. "Revain sent me a replacement cap very quickly and I am much happier. Now that I can actually install it :) It's really solid - I have it with an HP z32 (32", about 19-20 pounds) and the mount is solid as a rock. I've tried many other mounts and this is the only one that seems to work. Pros: - Very solid build quality - Can handle heavy monitors without wobbling - Clean, mostly metal construction - Quick release VESA mount is handy - Pass-through USB ports on the stand are surprisingly useful. Cons: - The cable management could be better: It's really difficult to turn the cable management channel on and off - The tilt of the monitor cannot be adjusted: You have to fully tighten the screw to keep the monitor stable - Limited range of motion: Since it's only is an arm, you don't have as many adjustment options as with a regular monitor mount, but it makes it much more stable for heavy monitors - The above quality control issues (although my issue may have been a one-off, I've had good experiences with other VIVO products .) Overall, this is a great mount for heavy/large monitors - definitely overkill if you have a standard 27" monitor, but for anything larger, get this one.
