I mentioned in another review of the RE 320 (the little brother of the RE20) that I was finally able to buy a pair of these mics last year as they were on my long wish list as it's a 26 Year Old Radio The veteran DJ station I play shows at still has the same RE20 mic in the studio that they had when I started in 1996 (the label says Electro's voice was recorded in Buchanan, Michigan, and on the current label is in Burnsville, Minnesota). ), your microphone works and still sounds. Great considering its age and to me there is no substitute for good quality when you buy a RE 20. Remember you are paying more for quality not so much advertising and for me it is worth the investment just make sure you do the best care of this mic and it will always be reliable. I love my EV mics so much I've replaced all the cheaper imitators with them, they work well with vocals and instruments hence their versatility. I would highly recommend the RE20, it's stone cold but worth it and when you have it on sale (which sometimes does) it's the best time to get an UPDATE or two on 9/30/2021 a year later. I am still very happy with my RE20s as a seasoned radio and professional audio geek, I can say that from experience. This is the best mic you can get for the money and in my experience no cheaper copy of a Cat mic can ever match the EV RE series (my favorite is the Baby Brother RE 320). )
