Last year I decided to buy a MacBook to get familiar with MacOS and use it as a school laptop. I like the laptop, but wanted a Magsafe-like charger in case I yank the cord. I found out that MagSafe was discontinued and this discovery disappointed me, but I realized that there are similar chargers in Amazon and Instagram ads. I found this recommended on YouTube and expected very little from this cheap charger. It exceeded my expectations and made me very satisfied. This charger is the best charger not only because of its magnetic charging but also because of the durability of the cable and the charging ability. Obviously I wanted a charger that would unplug the cord without taking the laptop with it in case the charger was hit with a great force causing it to fly off. The magnet is strong enough to hold when I'm surfing or using my laptop while sitting on my lap without tripping. I was concerned that the magnetic connection would be weak for security reasons, but I'm happy with the strength of the magnet as it holds the charger in place. To be honest I was scared of how strong he was because I thought that such strong power could make him move the laptop. However, the magnetic force is ideal and any force that may be generated will not damage the computer. At the time I was concerned about the strength/integrity of the cable as cheap chargers can wear out or kink at pressure points. I have had this charger for almost a year now and have not noticed any external damage to the charger. Honestly looks like new. It comes with a rubber cable tie to fold the cable when traveling, which I thought was a very good choice. The charger itself is a braided cable, which was very nice to look at for the price. I use it with a standard outlet adapter and it works very well. Honestly I will keep using this charger even after MacBook retirement, the durability is very good. Finally, I worried about the laptop's charging capabilities. I have used cheaper chargers for my phone and other devices and found charging to be slow and inefficient. When I took out the charger and started charging my laptop, I was really surprised at how well it worked. The average charging time for a laptop when using a MacBook is around 2 hours. I use this when I'm on the exercise scale and it charges efficiently. I also don't feel the laptop overheating, which is another issue that bothered me. Basically I am satisfied with the product. If you are looking for a USB-C laptop charger and need an efficient option, I 100% recommend this charger. It works well and I haven't had any problems with the laptop. My only issue is that there are no replacement charging tips as I want to buy a replacement tip and accessories for my other USB-C devices. This problem is minor and I can always buy more of these cables in return. Very happy, if you have a MacBook spend an extra $20 on it, well worth it.
