Tape build: Instead of one long strip, two shorter ones came together. They are extremely thin and were a bit bent out of shape between the power source and the spools. Unlike some other brands, there is no gel cover, so the circuits/LEDs are exposed. Make sure they are unplugged before setting up to prevent you from touching them and messing up the lights. These kind of lights can easy degrade due to humidity and touching. The positive though is that because these are so thin, they dont require as much tape to hold them up (like on the wall like we did).Lights: They are very bright and have brightness control and many colors. The strips I got were together in the same box but one has a completely different white than the other and it's very noticeable.Stickiness: Then 3M tape that comes with is very sticky, but that wont prevent the strip from coming off and will damage your paint. Make sure to use a few pieces for middle sections to prevent sag and the tape from coming lose.Clips: The box doesnt have that many clips to hold the strips in place. I was hoping there would be more. We ended up most using them for corners and the plain 3M tape for the middle sections.Extras: Besides the clips, these also came with a few connectors to connect the two strips or in case you need to reattach pieces after cutting them too short.Remote: As per the usual, these came with a small, thin remote that basically needs line of sight with the "eye" for the lights to receive signals. There are a lot of options on the light, which is cool. It also comes with a battery, which I believe is standard, that is taped off so it doesnt drain until you actually want to use it.Overall: They certainly are bad lights. They work as intended, are pretty inexpensive, and unlike some other brands, they do offer longer spools in case you have a large space you need to cover. I'm curious how these will hold up over time - guess I'll find out. I imagine a fairly decent time since they wont be messed with up on the wall and will only ever be on at night. If you are looking for a slightly more "finished" look with thicker tape and a protective layer, I might suggest looking elsewhere. I had bought some tape lights from Walmart (Better Homes & Gardens) that I was a little more impressed with. They are more expensive, but they are waterproof/more protected. The downside is that the ones from BH&G are shorter (about 16ft), so ita difficult to cover long distances.
