I love these other brands of NEMA 4x cable glands where you're not actually waterproof because they are well made and priced right. I use them as cable clamps instead of grommets. If you are unfamiliar with NEMA 4x cable glands, they are made of plastic with a swivel nut that tightly seals the rubber grommet on the cable. Imagine you make a circle with your index finger and thumb and make the hole smaller. Similar concept. The only thing that could improve it is a rubber gasket for the mounting nut to make it more waterproof. I wouldn't use them for underwater applications or other locations hit by direct rain unless you add your own rubber grommet.
