I have been using Speakmans for 30 years now. It was always easy to remove the limiter. I just bought a new one and the limiter won't remove, but I managed to break some plastic pieces that are part of the limiter so now I can't get the head back. Also, it's almost impossible to change the angle at which the head is pointing. Too much resistance to angle change. You feel like it would break the shower pipe. With my old Speakmans you could loosen the resistance by unscrewing the two head parts a little. With this head it seems you can't unscrew the head at all. It appears to be in two pieces, but they don't unscrew. I have written to Speakman support twice, once via the email address provided in the manual and once directly from the website. Never got an answer. I think this will be my last speaker.
