Metal-like helmet is strong and difficult to break. The clip is made of metal and the diffuser is made of plastic. In general, with proper care, it should last. The helmet impresses with its detailed design. However, this does not apply to my truck's air vent, which happens to be vertical, and there are no instructions stating otherwise. I can rotate the diffuser vertically, but the look of the helmet becomes problematic. I love the product but it doesn't stick out the side of my truck's air vent.
