Review on πŸ“± Mangotek iPad Pro Keyboard Case - Slim Combo Lightweight Folio PU Leather Cover for 10.5-inch iPad Pro Air (2019) with Wireless Smart Connector Keyboard by Matthew Outlaw

Revainrating 3 out of 5

UPDATE 6/2020. Almost identical to the Apple Keyboard Case at 2/3 the price!

I am using an Anker keyboard case for my iPad Air 2 with Bluetooth connectivity. There is a slight delay when opening the iPad and placing it on the magnetic strip. There is no lag with the iPad Air 3 and Mangotek keyboard case. This non-luminous keyboard is powered by side iPad Air 3 ports and connects via a magnetic stripe groove. I particularly like the fact that the iPad is held in place by two sturdy plastic connectors in the upper corners. There is no third snap at the bottom. So when you open the case and put the iPad into the keyboard slot, there is no need (action) to detach the iPad from the cover. This is important to me as I want the iPad to be opened and used with the keyboard with a simple swipe. This was a big disappointment with the Zagg Messenger Folio I tried before. When closing the Zagg case, it took some time to align the case lid with the keyboard to ensure the iPad went to sleep. In addition, Mangotek's buttons are well separated from the screen when closed, which ensures that the iPad's screen does not get scratched or scratched. The only downside is that the keys have a short drop. Nevertheless, I could not find any problems with key bouncing. >>> UPDATE. Downgraded rating. One of the keys (lowercase, apostrophe) no longer works. Two months after Revane's return. Beware. So sad, such a good design. >>> UPDATE 2. Problem solved! On my iPad 3, Settings > General > Keyboard > Hardware Keyboard was set to Automatic. This keyboard case is incorrectly recognized by this setting and should be changed to US English. Now it works great. (This setting must have been changed during an OS update as the keyboard worked fine when first plugged in.)
