You get what you pay for
This mount does what it's designed to do - hang your TV on the wall. These are two pieces that go together, but no two pieces are exactly alike. This results in the right and left sides of the hanging surface not being aligned, and since the hanging surface on each half is a single piece of steel bent into shape, you can't change it. In order for your TV to hang level, you must mount it, check the height, remove the TV and adjust the bracket if necessary. For $22 I'm not surprised at all. If you don't care then let it go.
