I've had them for many months now and they're out. We just finished our rainy season when we had a lot of rain. The waterproof batteries held up well. Although everyone comes with their own remote control, I can only use one remote control for everyone. I have to do EVERYTHING about every 4 or 6 weeks. I change the batteries (at sunset so I can set it for each sunset night), set my preferences (just a constant light, no flickering or blinking, which has many options), set the timer. They appear every night at sunset and disappear after 6 hours. Many weeks later I see them go away or not appear at all and I change the batteries and do it again. It takes me about 5-10 minutes to do all 6 of my strands that I have around our pool once a month or two.
