Not used for keys but used to identify a backpack, small luggage. What I liked about this item is that you REALLY have to remove the split ring to put your ID inside. For my needs it is much safer. If you look closely at many of the other key fobs, you will notice that there is an easy-open flap on one side of the fob. That's fine for a key that mostly sits on a shelf or in a drawer. But it is NOT safe enough for my use. So look at your intended use - a fairly static key ID tag or something to be pushed around like a school backpack. They are very well made and best of all MADE IN THE USA!
