Then use a jack to compress the shock to secure the bottom bolts. If the car is on a jack (mine was), use the jack to raise the wheel until the shock is level. This is the correct shock absorber, the size only makes installation difficult. Tamed the bouncy bouncy bridge effect for me, I'm happy.
