I have a Hamilton Beach True Air and these filters work very well. Unfortunately, living in Northern California, I experience the wildfire season every year. Every fall I buy a couple of filters and put in a new one at the first sign of a problem. When I take out the filter after the fire season, it changes color significantly. I leave the second filter in the car until the next fire season. This will help remove dust and cat dander from the air. Every two weeks I vacuum the filter with a brush attachment. If it weren't for fire season I could leave the filter year round with the occasional vacuum. This works for us as long as I clean the filter all year round.
