Incredible headphone sound

I'm thinking about a limited edition, red version. My office recently moved from a closet model to an open office. I do work that sometimes requires hours of quiet concentration, so I knew I needed something to get it done. I've read reviews of all types of noise-cancelling and noise-isolating headphones and found that the active noise-cancellation isn't to my liking. I wanted something that sounded amazing and helped block out noise from my now very close colleagues, but from what I've read about active noise cancellation it works best with constant noise like airplane engines and not sporadic noise like people, who are talking. So I decided to give them a try as they have been well reviewed on several different websites. They are perfect for all needs. After trying all the different nozzles, I settled on a triple flange. I also prefer to carry the cord directly in front of me. The product documentation mentions something about a malleable/moldable cord, but I find the cord too bulky when worn behind the ears; it just doesn't hold up well enough for me. Maybe it would work better if there was a cable clamp, but I'm not taking it off because now that I've found a way that works for me, I really love it. which really motivated me to write this review. I've recently decided to spend some time in my life listening to music on my stereo. I use a Marantz receiver to power my Klipsch speakers so it's not a cheap setup and as I sat and listened I realized I was missing the clarity I get from Shures. My speakers aren't the most modern, they're not the best, they're not the benchmark, but I've always found them great. But these headphones might make me want to upgrade my system. I could see that for some people this is a dangerous, slippery slope. Oh, and as for any sort of "lack of bass" (I've seen it mentioned in a few places), I don't find it a downside at all.
