I wish I had this toy around when my 5 year old is teething! I offered this teether to my daughter for about 3 months and she accepted it immediately. Since then it has become her favorite and now at the age of 11 months she even refuses to sleep without it! Luckily, the color is bright enough to spot in various places when inevitably tossing or dropping them. It was the perfect size for her to handle all stages of development and she experimented with all the different textures on it as different teeth were added. A small caveat: I noticed that tiny bits of silicone are now missing on the back. part of an elephant. She probably plucked them and swallowed them. Given the lack of paint/paper/plastic in other toys in my house, I'm not too concerned about that. She almost always keeps it and acts quite aggressively around it, so some wear and tear was probably to be expected. Overall, a great and must-have product - we'd be stuck (and losing a lot more sleep) without it.
