I'm 13 years old and my hands are the same size. My husband and three other children have large hands. This is the perfect size for me and my 13 year old. I bake a lot and they are perfect for picking up flour, sugar etc. Also, tongs are perfect for pickles, olives and anything in a jar. My son uses pliers for his science experiments. Both shovels and tongs are very versatile.
