After reading one negative review I was a bit nervous but had no reason to be. The lanyard came in a 4 x 4 x 32 inch box and arrived perfectly flat. Material and construction are excellent. This sling has four sling surfaces, two sides of durable canvas webbing (with its own leather handle) and two sides. made of thick, perfectly flat skin. The two parts are held together by a pivoting brass clamp secured with a knurled nut and small carriage bolt. the most beautiful sling I have ever seen. I'll probably treat one side of the canvas green chrome and if the leather ever needs some TLC I'll give it a light dab of mink oil and a light pass with a heat gun (on low) or blow dryer to soak up the oil. Ignore the negative feedback. The problems he mentioned have clearly been resolved.
