As an amateur DSLR the best choice. Three good lenses for it (wide, normal and tele) and you are ready for any scenes. Yes, and with whale 18-55 is also excellent, for starters. The swivel screen saves when you need to shoot from an uncomfortable angle (from the ground for example). I won’t say anything about shooting a video, I think it’s superfluous in a DSLR. On the machine, in poor lighting, the ISO is very high, you need to follow or limit it in the menu. ISO 1600 is definitely working, even at 6400 you can get good pictures. 14 bits in a row allow you to pull out the details in the shadows.
