I use this for dashcam and watch mode on my Tesla Model 3. It works fine and I can connect the USB-C part to my phone to watchdog -View events (I think the app for this is called Watchdog Viewer or something) without having to plug a USB drive into the computer. I had one that no longer worked for Tesla but still works as a USB stick. I don't know why, but I do know that these sticks get stuck in the car because data is constantly being written to them. They're so cheap I don't care. I bought 2 so if one stops working or fills up I have the other ready to use right away.
