It's combed cotton, the package came in plastic wrap, minimum but I prefer zero plastic waste. Made in India so I had high hopes for cotton. The size of the blanket is as advertised but the amount of energy it takes to clean this blanket is very wasteful. After a quick wash, the blanket was filled with loose cotton and fluff. I had to do a gentle dry cycle and then clean the lint filter 4 times as it got stuck the first time. I had to air it out for over 90 minutes and I still get lint. It's a waste of energy if I have to do this every time after washing. This is a return. Next time I'll just stick with very long fiber cotton and save myself a headache and a lot of energy.
