Review on Isosteel VA 9562DQ Vacuum Insulated Quickstop Single Hand by Teresa Diers

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Oh I love this vacuum flask!

As I write this, my tongue is burned from not being careful enough with the first sip of the soup. My husband and I even bike on cold New England days (35 to 40 degrees Fahrenheit) and bring lunch. Around 8pm I filled the bottle with hot water and then replaced it with a very hot microwaveable broth. We stopped along the way for some soup and sandwiches just after noon. The soup was literally hot! There was soup left, which was still quite hot but not as painful as it was at 4pm, a few hours after we got home. So I can't vouch for more than 8 hours of work, but I suspect liquids stay hot longer. take turns drinking. The cups are screwed to the vacuum flask at the top and bottom so that they cannot fall off. And they're ribbed to reduce the chance of slipping off your fingers. The handle hugs the bottle itself for easy storage in our limited carry space. And on the handle is an indicator that shows which of the identical ends is "up". The filling mechanism is very tricky. We have a "q" model and all we have to do is press the middle button and cast. Pressing the button again will block the flow, or when a cup is empty and ready to be attached to the bottle, simply unscrewing that cup will also block the flow. The lid itself consists of two parts that can be unscrewed for a more thorough cleaning. The bottle itself is also very easy to clean. With two cups, an easy one-handed pouring system, liquids stay hot for at least eight full hours (some of which have been in near-cold conditions), and a well-considered design. The Isosteel Duo VA-9562DQ was our winner.
