They are not connected to each other so easy to take apart
I have been trying to use these 3 compartments for sorting bills and mail. They just sit on top of each other though, they're not really tight or attached to each other. Thus, they disassemble easily, allowing mail to fall out of the top and second compartments. Unless they are placed on a perfectly flat surface and not bumped or hit, they will fall apart and the paper will be scattered everywhere. I've found that simply putting mail in containers causes them to fall apart. I'm not impressed.
