I have been using electric shears for many years but my old pair passed away. They were highly recommended so I bought them based on the reviews. They cut through several layers of fabric like hot oil. But I have small hands and it wasn't comfortable for me. I don't like the fact that when they're on you can't pause them by lifting your finger, you have to turn them off. And they're really loud. A little noisy, I could handle it, but they sound like an electric saw. You need earplugs to use them for long periods of time. i give them back
