I confess I love all hooded towels for my princess. Less than a year after her birth, we've collected bunnies, frogs, flowers, a lamb, a chicken, a princess, a reindeer, a snowman, even a flamingo and a goldfish, and that's not all. And so I see myself as an expert who can compare the merits of different manufacturers in a princess linen closet. We have everything from Circo (target mark) to Mullins Square, PBK, Gymbo, Bearington, Mud Pie and Kidorable. Period. The company name is appropriate. The design of these towels is unbeatable and charming, doesn't really do it justice. Also, all the work is sewn, not printed, which makes it different from others. Poor Quality: While the quality is second to none in the design department, it's inconsistent in that the material isn't really a thick plush terry cloth. I ordered two towels directly from Kidorable (that lotus flower and mermaid) and they were all rolled up into tiny balls that, while nicely packaged, weren't meant to be such tiny little bundles. The reason they were able to get so small was because the terry cloth is very thin. It really doesn't lead to being as successful in the design department, but then not piecing it all together from thicker, thirsty, better quality terry cloth. This part is heartbreaking. Especially for their price, which is comparable to Mullins Square and Pottery Barn Kids towels, which while not as imaginative in design differ in the quality of materials. In fact, I think the terry cloth looks even better on her Circo towel, and the Jumping Beans towels Kolya sells are even bigger. And thirsty, although I mentioned that before. Since my own little princess has a lot of baby towels, I decided to go up a size for later use. A GOOD DEED I did because honestly this size 3-6 is no bigger than some of her baby towels and many of her baby towels are actually bigger than his. Considering how small the sizes are for 3-6 year olds I would suggest ordering no less even for a small child. Conclusion: would I buy it again? Yes. I still say the design work is second to none and I'm willing to bet not too many pool kids will have this, so there's the benefit of being new and not having the same thing as everyone else. Personally for me the whimsy of these towels is still worth the price, I just want the quality to be on par with some of the other lines. If originality is high on your priority list, go for it. Just go up a size and while you might expect this to be the cutest towel your child will have, don't expect it to be made from the highest quality materials.
