Review on 3M Quick Headlight Clear 39173 by Marco Maurer

Second coat of clear coat. I waited longer than recommended in the package, 20 minutes versus 10-15, but that wasn't enough on a hot, slightly humid day. The first layer went very smoothly, like glass. The second layer broke the first layer, which created some tiny cracks in the first layer, causing the material to "peel off". When I carefully removed these lenses from the headlight lens in small flakes, I got tiny streaks (uneven coverage), which were then dried with a second coat of paint. It doesn't look as good now, although it's good enough to last a while. This is a shame as I applied it to a brand new headlight assembly as I had a slight crease in the fender and had the headlight replaced for free. It's not destroyed, but it just doesn't look as good as my OCD would like it to. Give it much more time to dry next time. The other headlight lens is fogged up, so I'll know better when I work on that. However, I recommend the product.
