Poor design causes milk to leak everywhere

I have read all instructions and am using appropriately. Unfortunately this is just a poor design. The part that connects to the motor does not seal well and causes milk to leak out (or sometimes completely dump out while pouring) The spout at the top for pouring is not large enough to allow airflow in and therefore cannot be used for pouring unless you remove the flange. While the cap/ closure at the top could be a nice feature (if everything else actually sealed) for storage, I can see where a someone new to pumping may inadvertently close this which as most pumping mommas know would ruin the pump. For some background on my review: I own the S9 (which I would give 3 or 4 stars, I did not like how the motor sealed) and the S12 (which I would give 5 stars). Also, the flanges that come with it are 27, the other flanges advertised do not actually come with it. Instead, you just get inserts. This is fine if you are those sizes, but if you are a smaller size like myself and must use inserts it complicates things. Overall disappointed. I would skip this one.

Pros
  • Complements breastfeeding routine by providing backup milk reserve
Cons
  • The product is not durable enough to last long-term
