Review on CB Insights by William Turner

It helped us get insights into our startup competitors that we didn't have otherwise. This is an excellent tool for getting information about your competition in areas like marketing spend or team size/composition (which are very hard numbers with low variance). Also helps you understand what trends might be emerging around certain topics. I've found it difficult using this product at times because there isn't enough intuitive UI features - some things need more clicks than others when trying to navigate through screens. We used it mostly as research tools so not really looking to use much else from them but they do offer other services too which can sometimes require extra steps if not familiarized well with their system. Getting insight into competitor spending across various channels was one benefit.
