While I often like to complement my suits with items that "go together," even if they're made of different materials, there's something beautiful and elegant (not to mention simplicity and convenience) in a matching tie, square pocket, and Cufflinks . Most of the time, these products cost a lot more than this. In this case you get a very good (but not perfect) kit for a small price but you sacrifice some small details. The tie is the star of this set. It's not expensive, but it's well made and looks good. If you like how the tie looks in the photos, you will love this one too. The cufflinks are actually surprisingly good. Of course, if you look closely you can see that the frame is quite cheap, but the fabric front of the cufflink looks so dominant, especially from a distance, that it actually looks much better worn than resting on a chest of drawers. The pocket square is a bit of a weak link here. While it's made from the same attractive material, its construction leaves a lot to be desired. One of my complaints about many pocket squares (certainly not just this one) is that manufacturers often cut them down to smaller sizes to save money and get more out of their fabric. Understandable, but this means that handkerchiefs often don't fit properly in the pocket and slip too easily. In this case, the pocket square is advertised as ten by ten inches, which is slightly smaller than I prefer. What I actually got was closer to a 9.5 out of 9.5. A small difference, but still a disappointment. In addition, the selvage seam on the handkerchief is too tight, so it tends to pucker at the edges. Does that mean the pocket square is useless? Hardly! It still works and I can still use it. However, this means I have to be a lot more careful about how I stack it, which is enough to take this from a five star rating to a four star rating despite the bargain price.
