I crossed the top bars for more stability. I don't leave my grandson unattended while he's in it just in case, thanks to some testimonials I've seen here. He loves the musical fox. Other people have mentioned how much their kids loved the musical fox, but it's true. He can be fussy about changing his diaper, so I took the fox off and put him next to him while I changed his diaper and he made no fuss at all. It wasn't too loud either. Good selection of songs. He's 2 1/2 months old and he's fidgeting to the music like crazy. I washed the rug in the washing machine on the gentle cycle and it worked great. He's not very fat, but was fine on carpet or in his travel cot.
