Review on ๐Ÿงˆ Porcelain Butter Airtight Keeper Container: Keep Your Butter Fresh & Delicious by Roy Boone

Bamboo shape - but only when used as a 'wet' oil storage medium

This is a nice swamp, but the bamboo lid will get moldy (when used as a "wet" swamp). Once mold appears I can't find a way to wash it off since it's built into the bamboo fibers. Tried chlorine, vinegar. I had to purchase a "full ceramic" oil cup (to use as a wet oil holder). Now that I've owned the oiler for a few months, I'd like to add to this review. I originally bought an oil pan to keep the oil "wet" at room temperature by covering the oil with water, as many cooking shows show, to keep the oil from oxidizing. It didn't work as a "wet" sump, but I've since converted it to a "dry" sump. It works very well when used this way. Bamboo does not rot and looks beautiful on the table. I have also found that I can use it as a cheese holder. Again, this is perfect for this application. I am updating my "stars". I was offered a refund for the dish but think I'd like to keep it for uses that go with it.

Pros
  • No more messes with deep design: The high and deep design prevents oil from sticking to the top of the lid and staying there when you lift the lid. This modern Sweese oil coaster is tidy and will add a touch of elegance to your kitchen.
Cons
  • socket required.
