This microphone is incredible quality at a great price. Sound quality is well above average, sound is picked up from a considerable distance - no need to press your mouth directly against it. If there's a downside, it's that the range is too great compared to a headset or directional mics. So it captures mouse clicks, keystrokes and random sounds very easily. I wouldn't call that a disadvantage, it's a design decision. If you just want a good record at a great price, buy this one. If you can't stand the mic picking up other sounds, find something that only picks up sounds from a narrow direction.
