The plastic buckle allows it to be worn through metal detectors, although the TSA forces you to remove it anyway, they don't realize it's nylon and plastic. Wide and strong belt material, but flexible enough to easily fit through belt loops. Now this is my favorite and everyday belt. The wearing feeling is comfortable and there are no wear holes. For those worried about showing the tag, I don't like that either, although the remaining gap covers that part for me. Thus, it looks like a normal black belt. Not a belt for clothing, but not one that screams "weapon" or "military." A simple looking strap that can hold some items securely. Continuous tightening sometimes makes sense.
