Revainrating 5 out of 5

Also fits microphone stands, OD min 9/16 ".

I saw that this product doesn't have any reviews yet, but it looks promising, so I decided to give it a try. I needed something to mount my iPad (9.7") with a silicone case on a microphone stand or camera tripod. I also didn't want the iPad to fall off the mount and preferred something simple and secure. My first impression is that this product fits my hands. The mount feels pretty solid and the screw clamp feels pretty solid for a light weight, while the iPad stand feels like a good compromise between something strong and light. I've tried shaking the mount in my hands with the iPad in the stand, and while I can see the iPad moving a little on the neoprene pieces on the edge of the stand, the iPad never really came loose, no matter how hard I shook it and that's enough for me. Oh my real concern with the ball joints in these mounts is that the ball will loosen over time as I've seen with the phone mounts on my car. Compounding the problem is that the tablets are quite heavy and those ball joints carry a lot of weight. First I can tell you that the ball joint feels pretty tight and if you adjust the angle and don't touch it or just remember to loosen the nut before adjusting you will get a good result I think. At this price, I find this to be a really good implementation of the ball joint. I'm also concerned that the neoprene parts on the post will wear out over time, but then again at this price I can't take a star off. Therefore. One thing I was really wondering about prior to purchasing was the minimum tube diameter that the clamp can handle and whether it can be mounted on my mic stand (9/16" OD for the inner pop-out rods), and I have in added image . When the clamp is fully closed, the mount feels secure on the mic stand. I would be a little more comfortable if there was a little more room to close the clamp, but somehow it holds up securely and I can see adding some material around the stem to make it a bit thicker, or even thicken it sanding something ends when needed. For the price, I'm not complaining either. A really good tablet mount that I highly recommend and based on my research of other tablet mounts on Revain I imagine you'd have to pay x34 to get something noticeably better.
