Good for the price Safe

We've had them since 2018. In fact we have 3 cameras and use the 3rd for travel. We got the first one as a shower gift in 2018 and this monitor battery stopped charging in 2021. We bought a second set in 2020 when we had our second child. The camera stays attached to the cable, which can be annoying when you need it higher up and might not always reach the ideal spot. There's also an alarm setting, but we've never used it and we don't care about it, but others might like it. Pros: 👍 Cheaper than other cameras 👍 Wi-Fi doesn't turn off, so it's very convenient to use anywhere. There is electricity even when you travel etc. Also, you don't have to worry about hackers as the WiFi doesn't disconnect lol. Cameras so you can watch multiple kids/areas. It looks like you can have up to 4 cameras on one monitor. 👍 You can turn off/sleep the screen so it's not bright at night while still using the monitor. You only need to press the top power button once. Hold is an on/off command. 👍 Compact and not heavy. Part of the monitor fits right in your pocket. 👍 The camera can be rotated (manually) so you can move it to where you need it during setup. 👍 There is a zoom function on the camera, but it's not the best. 👍 There is a walkie-talkie function at the end of the monitor which is handy at times, but we don't use it that often so it's not essential 👍 There is a lullaby function, but we'll honestly say we don't use it . Don't use it as we have a sound machine that creates white noise/rain sounds. However, we got my in-laws to use the lullaby feature for my older toddler to signal her when to get up as they were watching the kids recently. We have a WiFi night light that does this at home (I control it from my phone) and it didn't work at their house like it does from my phone, so they used the lullaby on the camera as a signal. Other than that we never used the lullaby feature lol. The battery seems to last a long time. I estimate about 4 hours or so. Of course I leave it charged at night otherwise it beeps which is good but annoying when sleeping lol. The good thing is that it beeps during the day/evening when it needs to be charged. It actually does long beeps too so it's a good thing it's not 2 beeps and dead lol. In fact, it will beep for a few minutes before dying, giving you some time to "get to the charge"! 😆 Cons: 👎 Night vision is quite grainy and generally not very clear. We keep their rooms in total darkness so the night feature is all we see from our end. If we turn it on before turning off the light, it looks a lot sharper, it's crazy. If you have it near their crib/bed it's clearer, but it's not always practical. I have attached pictures of my older toddler's camera which is far away and my younger child's camera is closer and you can see the closeup is much better quality but still not as good. 👎 Often "Waiting for communication" at night, which turns the screen back on. I leave the screen off, but I also turn it over at night because it does it often and brightly, but more importantly, your baby may be crying at this time and you might not know it (unless you have a light one sleep and thin walls, etc. haha) 🙄. It doesn't beep, it just blinks on the screen, and to "fix" that, hold down the power button and reboot. It's annoying and weird that it only happens at night. Maybe because we use it longer at night than during the day when it's only a few hours and the camera is too cheap to keep in touch for that long or something. However, the monitor beeps when a camera is not connected. So if a cat or dog pushed it or when you first set it up and placed it in the right place, the monitor will beep when this camera is not connected. not connected yet. 👎 Sometimes it beeps when it's in my pocket. It's like the signal is being blocked, which strikes me as odd, but maybe this is normal. It doesn't happen often, but it's a little alarming when you're not expecting it. 👎 The temperature isn't very accurate, so I wouldn't rely on it. That gives you a rough idea, but it really depends on where in the room it is, to be honest, on the outside or inside wall. The camera's field of view isn't very wide and can be a little finicky to set up. .👎The images on the buttons are starting to fade, but they still work.👎 The camera doesn't rotate/move from the edge of the monitor. This is probably typical of baby monitors, but sometimes I wish I could move the camera away from the edge of the monitor lol. Move them around the house, etc. ⭐ Cover the green light on the camera with black tape. ⭐ If you have more than 1 monitor and a label printer, put their names on the monitors. I removed them for photos but you can stick a small label on the front. ☺️ (Or wherever you want). I also added their names to the cameras. Overall it was pretty reliable and did its job, but it's by no means the highest quality. Hope that helps! Edited 3/16/22 to add that we recently moved our older toddler to a crib and are now more visible from afar than they were when they were in the crib. But it's still not as good as other monitors. However, it serves its purpose. Added a photo for comparison.
